Ask The Pro is an ongoing series on Lolesports, where we ask a pro player questions from the community. The player then picks the next pro the community will get to ask questions. Be sure to follow us on Twitter to submit your questions for the next Q&A!

In our last Ask The Pro interview, we talked with Origen's support player Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodriguez about his return to the LCS, winning bot lane, and teaming up with xPeke.

He also had a question for Giant Gaming's mid laner, Isaac "PePiiNeRo" Flores.

Mithy: When are you going to take that beautiful hair of yours and make dreadlocks with it?

PePiiNeRo: Soon. But if I get dreadlocks, I will be the first player in the LCS with them and that would make the world burn, I'm afraid...

Arelux: When did you join Giants and how did it happen?

P: I used to stream a lot, so I guess that's how they noticed me. I was the first of them who joined the team. I knew all of them because they were a team who always won all the Spanish tournaments. So when they told me that they wanted to get into the LCS, they absolutely convinced me. That was in August 2014.

Felix: Is the lifestyle as a pro gamer as fun as everybody thinks?

P: YEEES! But you don't eat properly and it's kind of stressful every week because of the comments of the community. If you can't deal with it, you probably won't enjoy it.

Brandon: What is your best memory with Giants Gaming?

P: When Oskar "G0dfred" Lundström joined the team, I had already wanted to improve my English. So now that he's joined, it's much easier for me to play and I get to practice my English at the same time, which is what I want!

Gum: How did you manage to stay strong after Giants' losing streak in the EU LCS last Split?

P: It never bothered me to lose. If you learn from it, it will make you better. We didn't get demotivated and that was all we needed.

Ave: Which retired pro player would you like to see on the scene again?

P: George "HotshotGG" Georgallidis! That was the best stream you could watch when League of Legends started to become what is it now.

Keyser: How do you feel in competitive terms compared to the other mid laners of EU?

P: I'm not afraid of any of them. None of them have my playstyle, so they don't know what I am going to do.

Panda: Who is your favorite mid laner to play against in the EU LCS?

P: Ryu "Ryu" Sang-wook is an aggressive player, which makes him fun to play against.

Brat: Do you have any good friends in other EU LCS teams?

P: Yeah! And most of them are so nice and make me feel really good even if my English is atrocious.

Mier: Who do you think is your biggest rival in the EU LCS?

P: Martin "Rekkles" Larsson. That reminds me! When we qualified for the EU LCS in December, I wanted to add a clause in the contract with Giants that they let me play as the AD carry when we played against him. But they called me insane.

Useless: Is your team going to keep communicating during games in Spanish or change to English, due to the new support?

P: We are switching to English, but sometimes we talk in Spanish.

Rax: Do you think that G0dfred will be the change that the Giants need to take Top 3 in the EU LCS?

P: Of course, this was a big step to make the team improve. You will see that throughout the entire Split. Last Split, the Top 3 had two teams that were new to the LCS (UOL and H2K). So we can do it too.

Marc: What are your predictions for Giants in the Summer Split?

P: Playoffs 100%. Worlds 15%.

Hank: Do you think the assassins are still worth playing in this tank meta?

P: They're nerfing the tanks again, so assassins will probably be back at some point. Playing assassins is one of the best things in this game, so I don't think Riot would want to abandon them.

Vlad: Hi, I just got to Diamond 2 as a mid lane main. Any tips for getting Master or Challenger rank? Good luck in the EU LCS!

P: There are three very important things:

  • Don't be sad if you lose games that you think were unfair. We all have those kind of games.
  • Look at your mistakes, not at the mistakes of your opponents or your teammates.
  • Try to learn different styles of playing that you're not used to.

If you can do those three things, your game will get much better.

Ryan: How come Vel'Koz isn't played in the LCS?

P: Because there are still really good picks against static champions like that. To use his ultimate, Vel'koz does not move at all and that makes him very easy to kill.

Freak: How long does it take to learn a new champion that has recently been released? Who was the easiest and hardest to learn?

P: It takes a while to learn to play a new champion. I think in 2-3 days, you can understand it. But to learn the proper builds is harder and slower. That can make you fail when you recall because you don't know how much gold you really need.

Moli: What non-mid lane champion is your favorite champion to play in mid lane?

P: Lucian.

Collin: Should I start an esports team at my school?

P: Starting is never easy. You should know that you'll fail sooner or later, but that will make you stronger the next time you try. If you feel like you're strong enough to do it, just do it.

Felipe: As a Spanish guy, you should have an opinion on this: Who's better, Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo?

P: I don't watch football, but just for humility I would choose Messi. But for their gameplay, I can't say.

Adrian: How many points will you earn in Fantasy LCS by the end of the Split? Did you draft yourself this Split?

P: I don't know how many points I will get. But what I do remember is that I chose and insta-locked myself before anyone else.

Matas: ¿Como haces para mantener ese pelo tan sensual? Que acondicionador usas? [How you do to maintain that sensual hair? Which conditioner you use for it?]

P: Pues la verdad que los que mi madre me recomienda. No hay mejor opinion que la de una madre. [To be honest, I use the ones my mom told me to. There's no better opinion than mom's opinion.]

Ira: Will you become lead guitarist of a metal band after your League career?

P: I know it will be something related to music, can't say exactly what, but yeah, I would like that.

LoLesports: What pro player would you want to answer questions next? Would you like to ask him anything?

P: My rival, Martin "Rekkles" Larsson. Why can all of the ADCs buy Life Steal but mid lane champions can't buy Spell Vamp?

Josh Augustine's favorite champion is Thresh, he's never enjoyed a Darius, and he will always go for the kill, even when he knows he shouldn't. He currently works as a game designer on EverQuest Next at Daybreak Games. He’d love to talk with you on Twitter.
