Dallas Mavericks' Mark Cuban on eSports: This is real sport
BY eSports Team - November 25, 2015
eSports just got a new big-time defender as Mark Cuban, owner of NBA team Dallas Mavericks, said "This [eSports] is a real sport, and people are going to figure it out really, really quick." when asked what he has to say to those who hates online e-gamers.
"I'm a noob. I’m still getting into it [eSports], but I love it. It’s like playing five-dimensional chess against the world. It’s one of the smartest games I’ve ever played. You’ve got to have dexterity, and you’ve got to be quick. This is a real sport, and people are going to figure it out really, really quick." - Mark Cuban
The 57-year old Cuban, who is also worth US$3 billion according to Forbes Magazine, had a 5v5 League of Legends (ARAM) showdown as well against Intel CEO Brian Kraznich during the Intel Extreme Masters San Jose for the benefit of the Cybersmile Foundation, foundation working against cyber-bullying where he was fined US$15,000 for dropping the f-word during the game which he so graciously doubled to US$30,000
