Former Immortals top laner Seung-hoon “Huni” Heo has officially signed with SK Telecom T1 (SKT), the team announced today through their official Facebook account. Huni will be replacing Lee "Duke" Ho-seong, who left earlier this week after a successful year with SKT.
Huni was a part of the Fnatic squad that went 18-0 in the European LoL Championship Series (EULCS) Summer Split 2015, along with fellow Korean Yeu-jin “Reignover” Kim. Huni and Fnatic went into a deep run in Worlds 2015, before falling at the hands of eventual champions SKT in the semifinals.
The HoloMaster, as he is fondly called by casters, then went to North American LoL Championship Series (NALCS) with Reignover, and joined new team Immortals. Immortals went on to dominate NA LCS two regular seasons, going 17-1 in Spring and 16-2 in Summer. Despite their strong performance during the regular season, Huni and Immortals always faltered in playoffs, settling for third place in both splits, and failing to make it to Worlds.
This move by SKT comes as a surprise for many, after rumors that former KT Rolster top laner Kim "ssumday" Chan-ho will be joining the team.
Huni will be joining jungler Wang-ho “Peanut” Han as the newest additions to an already stacked SKT roster gunning for a third-consecutive world championship title. SKT also signed rookie top laner JunHyung 'Profit' Kim.
