Spirit Signs with Afreeca Freecs
BY eSports Team - December 19, 2016

Another member of the fabled Samsung Blue team returns home. Lee "Spirit" Da-yoon signed with the Afreeca Freecs, joining potentially another strong team this coming LoL Champions Korea 2017 Spring split.

Afreeca Freecs have been very active this off-season, getting former world champion  Jang "MaRin" Gyeong-hwan and former Tigers mid laner  Lee "Kuro" Seo-haeng.

Spirit spent 2016 with premier organization Fnatic in the European LoL Championship Series. What was supposed to be a rebuilding phase for Fnatic turned sour after mediocre performances in the regular season, Spring (sixth-place finish) and Summer (fifth-place finish).

At one point, Spirit was one of the best junglers in the world alongside Choi "DanDy" In-kyu, but his skills have had a steady decline in the past two seasons. He has been unable to find success in Team WE in the LoL Pro League and Fnatic in EU LCS. Can Spirit regain his former status as one of the best junglers in the world now that he’s back in LCK?
